Situated on the south west coast of Mallorca, Bendinat is based on the outskirts of the village of Portals Nous, around 16km west of Palma.  It belongs to the municipality of Calvia.

Although Bendinat is close to the livelier resorts of Palma Nova and Magaluf, this small village has absolutely nothing in common with its neighbours, being much more upmarket and cosmopolitan.  A playground for the rich and famous, many properties in Bendinat have been bought by British residents who have fallen in love with the area, it being relatively unspoilt and peaceful, yet only a short distance from the bustling centre of Mallorca that is Palma. Also, close by is the wonderful village of Costa D'en Blanes which is again a quiet little haven in which to live. The Royal Bendinat Golf Course was opened in 1986 and extended to 18 holes in 1996. Although the whole region of Bendinat, Portals Nous and Costa D'en Blanes is commonly referred to as being the principal address in Mallorca for the well-heeled, the area of Old Bendinat is particularly exclusive, having only a handful of front line properties, which rarely come up for sale.  Those who are fortunate enough to be in a position to buy a property for sale in Bendinat should be prepared to spend in excess of €2m for a four bedroom villa, or a more conservative €1m for a three bedroom penthouse apartment.
