San Antonio Bay

Location

Situated on the west coast of Ibiza, San Antonio Bay is around sixteen kilometres north west of Ibiza Town.  

Description

The busy town of San Antonio lies at the bay’s northern end, but further south, the emphasis is much more on quieter, family holidays.

With its famous town, the resort makes up Ibiza’s second largest resort and is populated mainly by the British.

There are a number of playgrounds and amusement parks dotted throughout the area, a waterpark and an aquarium set inside a cave, all providing unlimited entertainment for children.  There is also a riding stable, four kilometres to the north, at Can Cirer.

Ibiza itself is famed for its beaches and there are a number of beautiful sandy shores around San Antonio Bay.  Of particular note are Cala Bassa and Cala Conta, just a few miles outside of the bay and completely unspoilt by tourism.

The shops around the bay area focus principally on the young tourist trade, with fashion boutiques and music.  Residents and Brits who have bought property in San Antonio Bay tend to do most of their shopping in nearby Ibiza Town.
